Statistics reveal that globally a third of food is thrown away. Most of the waste happens at home, so the garbage bin here becomes like a member of the family that eats food. So far, one in five people in Lithuania lacks food, while others put it in the trash without noticing. This is where the waste problem becomes absurd. To raise an awareness, we teamed up with the FOOD BANK to launch a campaign, where we integrated the trash bin in people’s everyday life. Our advertising campaign addressed the three main problems of food waste: its economic, social, and environmental impacts. At the same time, with a clip, outdoor and digital advertising the first page in Lithuania about food waste was launched: nesvaistom.lt.
